Russian International Theatre School: Education Program

The school’s program includes the following disciplines:

Acting, Speech, Singing, Dance, Stage Movement, Stage Fencing, Costume and Make-up.

The basics of the craft of acting are taught at our school according to the Stanislavsky system.

During the speech classes, we concentrate on improving articulation, breathing, voice and enhancing the ability of our pupils to use all the skills mentioned above. We work a lot with the texts from classical Russian literature as it helps our students to fully experience and appreciate the beauty of the Russian language.

During the singing lessons our students are introduced to the basics of musical literacy, thereby training their musical memory and their sense of pitch as well as learning new songs.

In the dancing class we teach classical, historical and contemporary dance.

During the stage movement classes, our students learn how to stay relaxed and how to achieve full concentration. They learn the elements of a stage combat; the ability to give their full attention to the partner and how to search for the various expressive abilities of their bodies that will assist them in creating the character.

While studying at RITS pupils participate in theatrical productions, films, festivals and creative competitions.

The school’s program is compiled taking the pupil’s age into account, so that it allows them to steadily develop their creative and physical abilities; their imagination and thinking; their sense of measure and tact, and also how to formulate their artistic taste that is essential for a person to achieve success in any sphere of interest.
